Allianz, in collaboration with Apple and Cisco, has announced a new deal that will provide businesses using their technology products with better terms on their cyber insurance coverage. This includes lower deductibles or even no deductibles in some cases.
The reason for offering these better terms is the evaluation of the technical foundation of both companies’ products. Allianz found Apple and Cisco’s products to offer businesses a ‘superior level of security.’
Cisco’s Ransomware Defense includes advanced email security, endpoint protection, and malicious internet site blocking which can protect an organization against malware, ransomware and other cyber threats.
Meanwhile, the integration of hardware, software, and services on iOS devices ensures that each component is trusted. Features like always-on hardware encryption and support for secure networking protocols such as TLS and VPN are also provided by Apple.
The new cybersecurity insurance solution will involve Aon’s cyber security professionals assessing potential customers’ current cyber security situation and recommending improvements to their defenses.
Participating organizations will have access to Cisco and Aon’s Incident Response teams in the event of a malware attack.
