Microsoft is targeting its cloud storage rivals such as Dropbox, Box, and Google with an enticing offer. The company has announced that it will buy out customers’ existing contracts if they switch their services from the aforementioned compe*****s to OneDrive for Business. This move is aimed at attracting customers who were interested in trying out OneDrive but are locked into other services.

However, this offer isn’t open to just anyone. Microsoft specifically targets enterprise customers with this deal, requiring them to make a minimum 500 user commitment and have no existing customer relationship with either OneDrive or Office 365. This announcement comes shortly after one of the targeted companies, Dropbox, confidentially filed for an IPO.

Potentially affected businesses include Lowe’s, Accenture, DBS Bank, Rackspace, among others. These organizations currently use over 350,000 seats of OneDrive storage and file sync services.
