Techstars Launches Paris Accelerator in Strategic Partnership with Partech Ventures
Global startup accelerator Techstars is bringing its renowned 13-week program to Paris, marking a significant expansion into France’s thriving tech ecosystem. The program, set to begin in September 2024, will be hosted at Partech Shaker, a dynamic startup campus backed by Partech Ventures.
Why Paris? A Strategic Move Post-Brexit
Founded in Boulder, Colorado (2006), Techstars has grown into a powerhouse with 27 accelerators across the U.S., Europe, and Africa. Its European presence already includes hubs in London and Berlin, but the Paris expansion signals a deliberate push to tap into France’s booming startup scene.
Paris has been actively positioning itself as a post-Brexit fintech hub, attracting startups and investors alike. This move aligns with France’s broader strategy to capitalize on shifting European tech dynamics.
Partech Shaker: A Hub for Innovation
The program will operate from Partech Shaker, a collaborative workspace launched in 2014 by Partech Ventures, a VC firm with offices in Paris, San Francisco, and Berlin. Partech recently secured $108 million for seed-stage startups and $440 million for growth-stage ventures, reinforcing its commitment to fostering innovation.
