Barcelona-based Badi has closed a $10 million Series A investment, led by Spark Capital, with the goal of expanding its presence in Europe. The startup\’s room rental platform caters to both sides of the equation - people looking for a room to rent and those wishing to rent out a room in a city. It also offers an escrow payment service, calendar for booking room views, and plans to add insurance options in the future. CEO Carlos Pierre states that Airbnb is focusing on vacation rentals at present but Badi aims to be “the Airbnb but for non-vacational rentals”. Spark Capital
