French AI Startup Bioptimus Raises $41M for Groundbreaking Biology Model
Paris-based AI startup Bioptimus has secured $41 million in funding to develop a foundational AI model specifically designed for biological applications. This ambitious project aims to create what CEO Jean-Philippe Vert describes as “the GPT of biology” — an AI system capable of simulating biological processes rather than generating text.

Bioptimus plans to train its model on comprehensive biological data spanning from molecular to organism-level information. This approach could revolutionize how scientists:
