CreateSafe Launches Triniti: The AI-Powered Music Platform Behind Grimes’ Voice Cloning

The Rise of AI in Music: From Grimes to Generative Tools

When a viral AI-generated song featuring cloned voices of Drake and The Weeknd was pulled from platforms earlier this year, musician Grimes made waves by offering to split 50% royalties with creators using her AI voice. This bold move led to the creation of Elf.Tech, an open-source AI voice tool that has since generated over 1,000 songs using Grimes’ vocal likeness.

Now, CreateSafe—the music tech studio behind Elf.Tech—has officially launched Triniti, its comprehensive generative AI platform for music creation. Currently in free open beta, Triniti represents the next evolution of AI-assisted music production.

Inside Triniti: AI Voice Cloning and Beyond

Triniti offers creators an impressive suite of AI-powered tools:

  • Voice Cloning Technology: Artists can create digital voice replicas using a customized RVC (Realistic Voice Cloning) model
  • Text-to-Audio Generation: Input descriptors like “catchy yet haunting love song” to generate unique audio samples
  • Music Industry Chatbot: Get answers to questions about labels, royalties, and career growth
  • IP Management: Tools to monetize creations and manage music rights

“Our goal isn’t to replace humans with computers,” explains Daouda Leonard, CreateSafe co-founder and Grimes’ manager. “It’s to give humans computers that collaborate with them to create new musical experiences.”

Ethical AI and Artist Protections

With voice cloning at its core, Triniti addresses critical copyright concerns:

  • Provides “voice likeness” certificates to establish ownership
  • Enables artists to set licensing terms for their vocal clones
  • Offers takedown mechanisms for unauthorized voice usage

CreateSafe recently secured $4.6 million in seed funding led by Polychain Capital, with participation from notable investors including Kendrick Lamar’s manager Anthony Saleh and Paris Hilton’s 11:11 Media.

The Future of AI-Assisted Music Creation

Looking ahead, Triniti plans to:

  • Onboard 30+ legacy artists to release voice clones in 2024
  • Introduce subscription plans (\(99-\)150/year)
  • Launch mobile apps and additional editing tools
  • Expand MIDI processing capabilities

Grimes, who joined CreateSafe’s advisory board, sees this as a step toward fairer artist compensation: “Art generates so much money as an industry, and artists see so little of it. We’re removing friction from getting resources into artists’ hands.”

As AI continues transforming music creation, platforms like Triniti are establishing frameworks for ethical, artist-centric innovation in the space.
