Just days after Uber secured its license renewal in London, rival Ola has encountered regulatory hurdles. Transport for London (TfL) has declined to renew the Indian ride-hailing giant’s operating license, citing critical public safety failures related to driver and vehicle licensing.
Why Was Ola’s License Not Renewed?
TfL identified multiple compliance gaps in Ola’s operations, including:
- Unlicensed drivers and vehicles completing over 1,000 passenger trips, potentially compromising rider safety.
