Pokémon Go Crowned Mobile Game of the Year at IMGA 2017

The International Mobile Gaming Awards (IMGA) celebrated its 13th edition by honoring the best in mobile gaming, with Niantic’s Pokémon Go taking home the prestigious Grand Prix award. The ceremony, held during San Francisco’s Gaming Week at Minna Gallery, recognized innovation, creativity, and technical excellence across the industry.

From nearly 3,000 submissions, the IMGA jury shortlisted 159 nominees before selecting 16 standout winners. The awards highlighted diverse categories, from gameplay innovation to artistic achievement, showcasing the breadth of talent in mobile gaming.
