In a recent post on the YouTube Creator Blog, CEO Susan Wojcicki outlined five priorities for creators in 2018. These priorities revolve around increased transparency and stronger enforcement measures to address past controversies.
The plans largely involve reinforcing existing policies regarding impersonating accounts, misleading thumbnails, hate speech, and self-harm content. Wojcicki confirmed that YouTube is working on a more accurate system for demonetizing content while also incorporating creators’ input in the process.
