BBC Director General Tim Davie has condemned Iran’s campaign of intimidation
The BBC has reported a significant escalation in Iran’s persecution of its Persian-language journalists and their family members, marking what the broadcaster calls “a direct assault on press freedom.”

“We’re witnessing a disturbing rise in the persecution of family members inside Iran,” said BBC Director General Tim Davie in a Monday statement. “This campaign of intimidation must cease immediately.”
