At its virtual Kong Summit 2020, Kong Inc. unveiled Kong Konnect, a groundbreaking managed platform designed to streamline cloud-native connectivity for modern enterprises. This end-to-end solution empowers businesses to seamlessly manage APIs, microservices, and workflows across Kong’s ecosystem, including its API Gateway, Kubernetes Ingress, and Service Mesh runtimes.

What is Kong Konnect?

Kong Konnect serves as a universal control plane, offering:

  • Centralized Management: A unified dashboard for API gateway, service mesh, and Kubernetes Ingress runtime orchestration.
  • Flexible Consumption: Pay-as-you-go model, allowing organizations to select only the capabilities they need.

“We’re lowering the barrier by making connectivity technology easier for 50 million developers—not just architects planning grand enterprise schemes,” emphasized Augusto Marietti, Kong’s CEO and co-founder.
