Emails continue to be a crucial communication tool for businesses, but there’s always room for improvement. That’s where Mixmax comes in. The startup has announced the completion of its Series A funding round, raising $10.35 million from well-known investors and VCs.

At its core, Mixmax is an email productivity extension for Gmail, Inbox by Google, and Salesforce. It offers a range of features to help businesses streamline their communication processes such as one-click scheduling for meetings, customizable templates, tracking when emails are opened or links clicked, among others.

With over 10,000 customers across small and medium-sized businesses, Mixmax plans to use the new funding to expand its reach upmarket. In the near future, it will introduce new features like a mobile interface, embeddable calendars, support for voice dialing and SMS, as well as team collaboration tools and proactive email nudges.

Mixmax CEO Olof Mathé is confident that Mixmax can continue revolutionizing how businesses communicate through emails. He said, ‘Email is the default communications channel for talking across organizational boundaries, but it wasn’t designed for business - we’re fixing that.’ With its current funding and new features in the pipeline, Mixmax looks set to help even more businesses improve their email productivity.
